Recently, the Zaris Fashion and Style Academy owned by fashion entrepreneur, Theresa Aggreh Jibodu marked its 5th year anniversary and the institution felt the need to make it memorable. With a theme, ‘Giving Beyond Garment’, the festivities kicked off with a two day event which began with a charity walk with the alumni from the school. The walked took off from the academy’s office to the Boys’ Correction Center, Oregun where items were given out to the boys as well as a pep talk on Fashion Enterpreneurship and the importance of fashion to the boys. The visit was rounded off with the award of scholarship to the best student in fashion in the correctional centre, Fajengbesi Adeleke.
Within the academy, four others were given scholarships bringing the number to five in commemoration of the five years it was celebrating. They are;
Okpa McCoy Agada an alumni who was given a grant worth 150,000 to purchase equipments; Alabi Temilola who won a scholarship to study a Fashion Certified Designer course; Mommoh Ibade Bridget who got a scholarship to study a Certified Fashion Associate course and Oladejo Adedayo Deborah who won a scholarship for the Zaris Certified Fashion Designer course
