Why Gani Adams got married to another woman

Last weekend, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams took another wife in the person of Joy Onojaife, a former beauty queen from Delta State.

Although the traditional wedding ceremony was a private one, it however had in attendance some very prominent personalities such as His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Nasiru Lawal Ogunronbi Ariwajoye, Oba of Shasha Kingdom, Lagos State who led the groom’s party.

Others were the Parakoyi Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Prof. Kolawole Raheem, led other members of the Aare-In-Council, including Atoloye Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Babajide Tanimowo; Barejiro Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Dauda Asikolaye; Asoju Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Yinka Oguntimehin; and Akinrogun Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Kazeem Hamzat and several others.  Joy is the daughter of Lagos-based architect, Lucky Onojaife.

A former Miss Delta State and the Most Beautiful Girl in Urhoboland in 2012, Joy is a graduate of Physiology from the Delta State University. Adams who was a former National Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC.

Contrary to the story that is being bandied about town that Joy is coming into Adam’s household as his second wife, Joy is currently his only wife as his first wife, Mojisola has allegedly moved on with her life and relocated to the United Kingdom taking with her, the twin children they both welcomed in the year 2020 after several years of waiting.

Sources allege that the wife relocated to the UK as she could no longer stomach her husband’s weakness for the opposite gender. Adams who has allegedly been without a woman in his home for over a year, was prompted to take Joy as his lawfully wedded wife.

In an interview she granted a few years ago, she revealed how people warned her against marrying her husband. But she had gone ahead insisting she has no regrets as there is no marriage without its differences but the way one handles it makes issues in a union is all that matters.
