Men of the Nigerian army stormed the venue of the #EndSARS protesters in Lekki area of Lagos opened fire on peaceful #Endsars protesters killing at least five of them and scores injured.

The officers were said to have asked the protesters to leave the venue of the protest and barely a few minutes after, opened fire on them, many of who had the Nigerian flag draped on them, as a show of patriotism while also singing solidarity songs.

Shortly before the shooting, some persons had arrived at the tool gate and dismantled all eight CCTV cameras without any explanation. Shortly after, the lights at the toll gate were switched off, thus paving the way for the Nigeria army to shoot at the protesters.

After the shootings, the Nigerian army not only took some of the corpse along with them, they also prevented medical personnel from accessing the injured victims to render any medical assistance to them.

Earlier today, the Lagos State government had imposed a 24 hour curfew and banning protests in the state after eight police stations in Lagos had been set ablaze by hoodlums who hijacked the protest to unleash mayhem. The affected police stations were: Orile, Layeni Amukoko, Mushin, Ilemba Hausa Ilogbo Iyana-era and Ajagbandi divisions , including Cele Police out post under Ijesha division, killing two policemen and injuring many others.
