Unable to post 10% of the $1m bond set by a judge on Monday, a woman identified as Valencia Love did just that for R Kelly. The $100k bail is for his 10 counts of sexual abuse charge. Since his arrest on Friday, R Kelly struggled to come up with the funds to cover his bail. His lawyer, Steve Greenberg, told the judge that the singer’s finances are a “mess” due to his ongoing legal issues. But after learning of his financial plight, some of his female fans reportedly reached out to the county clerk offering to cover the cost of his bail.

Love who eventually posted the bail bond denied that the money is hers saying it is R. Kelly’s money.
“It was his own money. I just posted bail for him. R. Kelly is a good friend of mine,” she said.

Speaking on Kelly’s court case, Love a restaurant owner said, “There are three sides to every story, [Kelly’s] side, there’s (the alleged victims), and the truth. If he did it, he is wrong but he should also be allowed to clear his name. He’s not a monster. He’s not. I’m not in support of any pedophile. I don’t support that at all. He’s only been a gentleman to me.”

She also said that R. Kelly is not broke, saying she only helped him out so he can get out early.
“As a friend if he says he’s innocent, I can only believe that he is innocent.”

According to Daily Mail, the 47 year old who lives just outside Chicago in Romeoville, owns a number of restaurants… as well as a childcare facility, the Lord and Child Christian Day Care.

Kelly is due back in court on March 22nd. If convicted of the charges in Chicago, he faces between 40-70 years in prison.
