Ramon Olanrewaju Nasir, the head, external and media relations of Africa’s global bank, United Bank for Africa, UBA, recently celebrated 15 years of exceptional service to the great institution.

He was celebrated by his bosses, colleagues and friends, who all showered him with prayers and adulation.

The chairman of UBA Group, Tony O. Elumelu, CON, and the Group Director, Corporate Communications, Bola Atta, showered him with encomium.

In a letter addressed to Ramon on Monday, March 1, 2021, Elumelu praised him for his sacrifice and commitment in projecting the financial institution image externally.

The letter read: ““On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Africa’s global bank, I congratulate you on your 15th anniversary as a member of UBA tribe. I write to commend you for the sacrifice, passion, and commitment that you have demonstrated in carrying out your job and ensuring that the Bank is projected externally in the most positive light always. With each passing year, you bring creativity and a strong work ethic to the team and I wish you continued success in your career.”

In her comment, Atta took to social media and write: “Today, Ramon Nasir marks 15 years since he has been working at UBA. That’s indeed remarkable. He tells the story of how he joined the organisation having been recruited as a personal assistant to Nnamdi Okonkwo. He gradually moved up the ranks and heads the media relations team working with me. In the short time I have been here, I have watched him grow. And so the output and quality of his work has grown, so has his personal brand. He is a great addition to the team and makes my work looks so easy,” she concluded.

Reacting to the tributes, Nasir thanked the Chairman, management and staff for their support “My sincere gratitude to Group Chairman, UBA, Mr Tony Elumelu for his note with generous compliments on my 15th anniversary as a member of #UBATribe. It has been a great honour working for this wonderful man and our great institution.”
