One of the most enduring couples in the Nigerian entertainment industry, Tunde and Wunmi Obe, who go by the acronym, T.W.O recently returned to the music scene after a brief hiatus with the audio and visuals of ‘Rise Up’, with reggae vibes and very different from the sound they are usually known with.

According to the couple, “Reggae music has always been one of Nigeria’s core music but the hip hop and Afro beat seems to have taken over which is why  we want to start a movement that has so far been spreading like wildfire across Nigeria. It is definitely safe to say that reggae music is back and better.”

In the song, Tunde and Wunmi  Obe chose to celebrate top musical legends from Africa and the world such as Orits Wiliki, Lucky Dube, Ras Kimono and Bob Marley with the single with the hope that reggae fans world over will appreciate and enjoy it. The single has so far been enjoying some measure of airplay since its release.
