Toyin Subair who founded the defunct pay television station, HiTV, has given love a second chance. Toyin who divorced his wife of many years, a few years ago after he relocated to London, got married to his beautiful Indian girlfriend, Anita Gupta, in India. The small but classy wedding which took place with only a few family members and friends in attendance, expectedly had trappings of money.

Recall that when HiTV began operations in Nigeria, it was the Pay satellite TV that was being positioned to give DSTV a run for its money. But that wasn’t to be as no sonner than the fully Nigerian owned company began operations, than it began to swim in financial crisis. The troubled financial state of HITV could clearly be traced to the financial indiscipline and flamboyant lifestyle of Toyin Subair who was the Managing Director of the pay television station.

He loved to live big and constantly incurred expenses at the expense of investors’ funds. He flew first class if he flew commercial and other times preferred the comfort of chartered flights. He stayed in the most expensive of hotels in any country he visited and had quite a number of state of the art wonders on wheels in his garage. Unarguably, his penchant for living large drove the company underground and when investors started asking questions, Toyin Subair fled the country and never returned.
