Honorable Adebo Ogundoyin, Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly is bereaved.
The young man lost his mum, socialite, Chief Mrs Justina Iyabo Ogundoyin on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness.
She was aged 63.
The deceased who was the Iyaloja General of Ibarapa land, was the fourth wife of the late Ibadan philanthropist and business mogul, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin.
Describing his shock at his mother’s death who was his pillar of support, Adebo said she was the best mum anyone could have asked for.
“My mum just bid farewell to this sinful world. This is really painful and nothing can be more painful than this to me and my entire family. She was a good mum to everyone of us and she was a good person to so many people. We have lost our jewel of inestimable value.
“To me there are no words to explain the grief and sorrow I am feeling at the moment. We will forever cherish the fond memories we had with her,” he said in a terse statement.
“The loss of a mother is huge and heartbreaking and this is the condition we are in presently. May the Lord repose her soul and grant her eternal rest. May God watch over everyone of us she left behind,” Hon Ogundoyin prayed.
Mrs Ogundoyin was an Igbo woman who lived all her life in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
She was popularly referred to as Queen of Sheba as a result of her disarming beauty and in-depth knowledge of fashion.
A successful business woman, she ran several business ventures among which is an oil and gas company.
She is survived by four children, Adesoji, Adebo who is the Speaker, Adetoye and Aderemi.
