Atsi Kefas, the sister of Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, has tragically passed away after being accidentally shot by a police escort during an attempted bandit attack.
The incident occurred last Thursday on Kente Road in the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, where Atsi and the governor’s mother, Jumai Kefas, were traveling. Gunmen ambushed the vehicle, and in the chaos, a police officer assigned to protect the family inadvertently shot Atsi while trying to fend off the attackers
Another source confirming the death said, “Yes, the governor’s younger sister, who was shot during the bandit attack while traveling to Abuja, has sadly passed away.”
