Diplomat, lawyer and politician son of frontline politician, K.O. Mbadiwe has expanded his frontiers and gone in to the hospitality business. Determined to fulfill his parents dreams, as well as contribute to the development of the tourism and hospitality industry in the country, the former Nigerian ambassador to the Republic of Congo, decided to open a hotel, King’s Celia Hotels & Suites in Lagos, named after his father, Kingsley and mother, Cecilia and located in Jibowu area of Yaba. The choice of Yaba as against the Island where he could have had any choice location is predicated on the fact that the location where the hotel is, was his parent’s first home. Greg considers it historical because according to him, part of the house was donated by his father in the late 70s to the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), a party his father helped to build and nurture. Also his decision to go in to the hospitality business was so he can immortalize his parents and accomplish his parents’ dream to own a hotel. A native of Ndianiche Uno, Arondizuogu, the 63 year old former governorship candidate of Imo State is the Chairman/CEO of Apian Holdings and Investment and Afro Group. He was a one time Director of Research, Strategy and Publicity for the Obasanjo Campaign Organization.
