The cheery news of Olori Sola Alao, one of the daughters of billionaire industrialist, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, welcoming a set of twins in the United State, many years after she bore her first son who miraculously survived cancer, has been marred by the news of the death of one of his grandsons, Subomi Olabayo who allegedly committed suicide.
The body of 28 year old Subomi who is the son of Lola Olabayo, the industrialist’s daughter and her husband, Prince John Olabayo, the Managing Director of Royals Fast Food, Ilorin, was said to have been discovered around 5pm on Tuesday at the backyard of their Ilorin, Kwara State residence, even though he reportedly left the house around 11am that same day.
Sources close to the family revealed that Subomi had been depressed for sometime and was said to have had running battles with his father. He became suddenly moody and withdrawn and only his girlfriend was able to change his mood each time he gets into a depressed mood.
According to the source, the girl who is about four months pregnant for Subomi went visiting on Tuesday but Subomi’s father snubbed her. Subomi was said to have become infuriated and stormed out of the house. No one saw him again until around 5pm, when his lifeless body was discovered in the backyard.
Many feel concerned about the incident and suspect foul play and have urged the Olabayos to carry out an autopsy to know exactly how he died as Subomi was considered a very promising young man, First Weekly reports.
The Olabayos are known to be very successful in their various businesses endeavours and reportedly have a close-knit family.
Friends and associates have since been sympathising with the bereaved family.
