On Wednesday, January 22, businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu feted family and friends to her 51st birthday party which held in her Abuja home.
Despite being a glamorous white themed party, it was however a clear departure to her very glamorous multi-billion naira 50th birthday party which spanned one week and which had politicians led by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other prominent businessmen and women in attendance in far way Caribbean Island of Grenada on an 80-acre private and exquisite location which costs about $132,000 per night.
Some of those who attended her party were her Dubai based fashion designer, Walid Atallah who curated her two looks for the day. Also in attendance were their royal majesties, Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III and his counterpart, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal. Both kings were dressed simply in kaftan and arrived the venue without their hangers on, fore runners etc. They sat quietly and very unlike how guests at parties held in Southwest Nigeria would be falling over themselves just to exchange pleasantries with them, most of the guests took little or no notice of the kings. They sat like regular guests but felt like fish out of water.
Other guests who made it to the party included the Director-General, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Chris Najomo; Zach Adedeji, chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS; former Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha; Jennifer Adighije, MD/CEO of Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC; Bola Awosika, Fidelis Anosike, Emeka Ihedioha etc.
Earlier that same day, Aisha took time out to put smiles on the faces of some orphans at the Home of Survival Orphanage Home in Abuja by dishing out various household items and toiletries to them. She also empowered 51 widows in the Jahi area of Abuja with sewing machines, grounding machines, paid school fees of all the students present during her visit and gave out scholarships to deserving students. She then attended to an individual who required an immediate medical surgery and gave out cash prices as well.
The partying continued till Friday January 24th where she hosted family and friends again to the grand finale of the soiree. It was a grand affair with a Hermes themed decor which looked enchantingly breathtaking.
Aisha is the founder and managing director of Abuja-based Felak Concept Group, a company that is into consultancy services related to health, equipment procurement, training and capacity building. She is also the founder of Altex Engineering Oil & Gas Limited and had also made her mark in maritime and transportation engineering. She is the first woman transaction advisor/consultant to develop a seaport (Ibaka Seaport) in Nigeria.
