Remember the blockbuster 1994 Nollywood movie, Glamour Girls which is the story about a village girl who was influenced by her friend to get a job in Lagos so as to live a better life?

It looks like there will be a remake of the movie as Charles Okpaleke of Play Network Africa has acquired the rights of the movie and has given a nod for its remake.

Reacall that Glamour Girls featured Nollywood bigwigs such as Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Zack Orji, Ernest Obi, Ngozi Ezeonu, Gloria Anozie, Pat Attah, Sandra Achums and many others.

Charles Okpaleke also owns the sole rights to Living in Bondage which launched what is today known as Nollywood and recently premiered a sequel of the movie, ‘Living in Bondage: Breaking Free’ which achieved blockbuster status in Nigeria, having grossed over N140m within the first few weeks of its release.

“Living in Bondage: Breaking Free” marked Charles Okpaleke’s debut into the Nollywood industry as an Executive Producer and is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
