Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has denied claims that she patronises Jaruma, popular Nigerian sex therapist.

The mother of one took to Instagram to also debunk insinuations that she bought kayan mata, herbal love enhancers and aphrodisiacs, to attract and retain Ned Nwoko, her wealthy politician husband.

In 2019 at the age of 59, Nwoko, who is a billionaire businessman, had married Regina who was then 19. This fueled mixed reactions based on the duo’s age difference while many questioned the actress’ motivations. Regina and Nwoko had, in June 2020, welcomed their first child together.

Regina’s outburst comes a few hours after Laila Charani, Nwoko’s fifth wife, revealed that she is now divorced from the businessman.

Shortly after Charani’s revelation, some fans had accused the actress of using kayan mata to end her husband’s marriage to the Moroccan model.

But the film star denied this and said she had only helped the controversial sex therapist to create awareness for her brand, adding that she had never purchased the products from Jaruma for personal use.

“This is for clarity’s sake. I have and will never use any kayanmata product. Jaruma paid me to help make random posts for her. I personally gave my terms concerning the kind of posts to be made,” the actress wrote.

“I was mindful with my choice of words so as not to mislead the public. I was simply creating awareness for her brand. We became friends. I was warned severally to keep her at arms length and mind my association with her.

“But it is not in my nature to judge a person from another’s perspective but in her case, I should have known better.

“She constantly uses every opportunity to create content to profit off my person and my brand even after our payment deal expired. I tolerated it because I believed I understood her person. I felt I should give her the benefit of doubt and maintain a cordial friendship.”

“But this time, I will not tolerate Jaruma using this issue that practically portrays me as a bad person for her selfish desires knowing fully well, that I have never and will never use whatever she sells as I have no reason to. I and my brand as Regina Daniels has no business/association with Jaruma and her products.”

But Jaruma in her defence is debunking Regina’s claims, insisting that there are video evidence to defeat Regina;s claims.

Jaruma revealed that she paid Regina N10 million naira in a space of six weeks, both for promoting her product and as a friendly gesture to her, her now ex co-wife, Laila and some domestic aides in her household.

Jaruma said she seized the opportunity to advertise her brand through Regina because she was in the spotlight for marrying a much older man, which would help gain visibility and reach more to the audience.

In a post shared by Jaruma, she insisted that the actress posted her products on her page only three times in six months, after which she came back to Nigeria to make sure Regina posted at least three times a week.
