Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno and the first lady of the state is dead.
She passed away on Thursday September 26, 2024.
Details surrounding her death remains sketchy but the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, revealed that she passed away peacefully in a hospital after a brief illness.
She was said to have been surrounded by her family at the time of her death.
While expressing gratitude to those who have shown their unwavering support and stood by the family throughout this challenging period, the family requested that they be granted privacy to mourn their loss.
Governor Eno, has however reaffirmed his commitment to the service of Akwa Ibom State, despite the monumental personal loss.
Further details regarding the burial arrangements will be communicated by the family in due course.
The late first lady was known for her quiet strength, charitable heart, and strong faith, leaves behind a legacy of service and compassion. She will forever remain in the hearts of the people of Akwa Ibom and beyond.
