Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro at the ninth edition of Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, AMVCA, won the award in the Best Actress in a Movie
This would be her second time winning the award as she won in the same category last year.
She won the award for her portrayal in the movie, Man of God.
Others who won in various categories are Bimbo Ademoye in the Best Actress in a Comedy: Tobi Bakare in the Best Actor in a movie, Samuel Perry aka Broda Shaggy in a Best Actor in a Comedy among several other winners.
The ninth edition of the award ceremony took place on Saturday at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos and it was hosted by Master of Ceremony, Ik Osakioduwa and former Miss Universe, South African born, Zozibini Tunzi.
There were performances by Tiwa Savage, Iyanya and Spyro.

In addition to the aforementioned awards, the duo of Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Beauty Tukara have both emerged winners in the best dressed male and female list at the AMVCA.
The duo beat several others to emerge top three finalist in each of the categories with former beauty queen and Big Brother Naija reality show contestant, Beauty snagging the best dressed female and Enioluwa snagging the best dressed male
Unlike last year where the winners were each given a cash prize of N500,000, no cash prize was announced this year.
