The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ọjájá II, has taken a fourth wife, in the person of Princess Ashley Folashade Adegoke in a traditional wedding on Friday
This development is coming a few weeks after the monarch married ex beauty queen, Tobi Philip in a quiet traditional ceremony.
Princess Adegoke has been a close friend to the traditional ruler and even doubles as his concubine. She was formerly based abroad before relocating to Nigeria and has since been parading herself as the wife of the traditional ruler.
The traditional rites between the two took place in Ile-Ife on Friday in the presence of traditional rulers and chiefs.
The king’s family members moved to late Prince Adeniyi Adegoke’s family house situated on Olubose Street, along Ede road, the ancient city of Ile Ife, Osun State, to conclude all necessary rites that would allow them take Ashley to the king’s palace.
Just like the wedding of Queen Tobi Phillips, the Ooni was nowhere in sight at the wedding ceremony. His chiefs, the royal guards and the royal staff were there to represent him.
