For many years, billionaire business mogul, Chief Razak Okoya and one of his favourite daughters, Biola Okoya were not on talking terms. Many people considered this a shocking development especially since Biola Okoya was the apple of her father’s eye and could do no wrong in his sight. What irked most people more was the fact that no one knew exactly what the cause of the quarrel was all about as both parties refused to reveal anything about it, not even a whisper. But the quarrel was such that it polarized members of the family.
Everyone had their own theory as to what the root cause of the problem was. While some attributed it to the emergence of Shade Okoya, the youngest wife of Chief Okoya who took the shine off Biola Okoya, prompting Shade to now be the new apple of Chief Okoya’s eyes, others were of the opinion that it was Biola who may have offended her father, thus incurring his wrath and setting them both on a war path.
But whatever the reason was, it is no longer news that both father and daughter have reconciled even though the relationship isn’t quite as chummy as it used to be. She has not been sighted in any recent family function. What is however news is the fact that former President Olusegun Obasanjo played a major role in reconciling the warring parties.
Chief Razak Okoya
Having come to the realization that she need to be reconciled with her father rather than to continue feuding with him, Biola Okoya made several attempts at dousing the tension between her and her father all to no avail. Apparently her father wouldn’t budge for whatever reason. Not even when she contacted his close friends to appeal to him. Eventually, wisdom prevailed on her to contact the former president to play a mediatory role which the former president gladly and successfully did.
In her hey days, Biola Okoya was the life and soul of any party. She was a socialite in the truest sense of the word and lived life to a hilt. She was also a very jolly good fellow who had other society women as friends, all of whom she regularly reveled with. But when she had her differences with her father, all that lifestyle ended. Biola recoiled into her shell and disappeared like the wind. She relocated to London for a while, came back home and has kept quite a distance from the life she was once associated with.
