The families of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and businessman, Chief Kessington Adebutu, have said that the wedding of their children, Olujonwo and Tope, will hold as planned since a case instituted against them  had been decided in their favour.

Spokesman for both families, Princelyn Oduenyi, noted in the statement, “With the recent decision of an Ikeja High Court (Family Division) presided over by Justice Lateefa Okunnu, dismissing the suit filed by Mrs. Taiwo Obasanjo seeking the postponement of the wedding between her son Olujonwo and his fiancee Tope Adebutu,  fixed for 11th and 13th of May 2017 to a later date, I have been mandated as the spokesperson of both families to assure the general public,  well-wishers, invited guests and the church in particular that the wedding is still going to hold on the fixed dates.

“In dismissing the suit the Honourable Justice was very clear and unambiguous, stating that the court was incompetent to entertain such a matter involving people whose age brackets are above 18,  which is the limit of the children of a marriage that the court has jurisdiction to adjudicate,  as the gentleman whose wedding is in contest is already 33years old and an adult.”
