Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu is over the moon as his wife, Amara obtained her Master’s Degree from Regents University, London.

The ex-footballer now businessman and philanthropist took while congratulating his wife, praised her for her tenacity. He said,
“Congratulations my love, well done and many more on the way. You worked hard and what you gave in this is the result. We are proud of you and you are a good example to everyone. Keep it going.”

Amara was just 18 years old when she got married to Nwankwo Kanu in 2004 is a mother to three children, a girl and two boys. With a first degree in architecture, she currently practices interior decoration alongside being a fitness expert.

In addition, Amara who recently celebrated her 30th birthday is also an author and in May, launched a book on wellness called ‘Healthy Living with Amara’. Having coached women around the globe on achieving healthier lifestyles through exercise, nutrition and lifestyle choices, it became necessary for her to help others who may not readily have access to her to learn from her healthy lifestyle choices.

The book which will be launched and unveiled to friends, family and the media this weekend is already getting pre-order requests. As expected, Amara dedicated the book to sporting giants who have lost their lives from heart related issues specifically her loving husband Nwankwo Kanu.

The football legend has never stopped thanking his wife, Amara for saving his life following a heart valve defect that threatened to cut short his career 21 years ago.  A routine medical check-up on Nwankwo in 1996 at Inter Milan revealed a serious defect before he underwent successful heart surgery.

The former Arsenal player who retired from football in 2012 revealed that his wife saved his life by forcing him to do a check-up after she discovered his disturbing heartbeat rate.
