Nollywood actress Lola Margaret may have been released from an Atlanta jail shortly after she was arrested on credit card fraud charges.
Recall that only about a month ago, the Yoruba speaking actress, joined the growing list of Nigerian entertainers in America who were getting their hands soiled and tarnishing the image of the country by getting involved in fraud related cases. The actress spent time in an Atlanta, Georgia jail for getting involved in money laundering. She was reportedly arrested after a huge sum of money was wired into her account and the collection method failed.
The Nollywood actress was said to have been at it for a while before she was finally caught. She reportedly revealed the identity of her sponsor and was temporarily released. Her freedom however didn’t last long. Rather than lay low, she continued with her fraudulent activities until the long arm of justice caught up with her again and she was arrested for the second time. She is said to be in the custody of law enforcement agents and has been for a while now.
Now is it seems that the Nollywood actress is out as she took to her social media recently to thank God for being good.
“What else can say onto the Lord? than thank u, my God is good.”
The statement didn’t clarify if she is completely free of all charges or if she is awaiting trial. It is unclear if she has been cleared of the charges, or if she is still awaiting trial.
Only a month ago, two Nigerian entertainers, singer, Dammy Krane and rapper, Babalola Falemi otherwise known as Sauce Kid were nabbed for credit card fraud in America. While Dammy Krane who is currently on bail and is due back in court soon, Sauce Kid wasn’t so lucky. He was hauled into jail where he will spend two years for stealing $15, 388.
