Veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor aka Saint Obi is currently locked in a messy divorce with his now estranged wife, Lynda Nwafor nee Amobi

While Saint Obi initiated the divorce proceeding, his wife, Lynda appears to be sabotaging the process as she has repeatedly failed to appear in court each time the case is called up, causing the Judge, Justice Omotayo O. Majekodunmi, to issue a bench warrant for her arrest.

Lynda, an MTN Nigeria executive married Saint Obi in a lavish ceremony in December 2006 in the former’s homeland of Anambra, and the couple has three children – two boys and a girl.

Before now Saint Obi and Lynda Amobi had managed their marital affairs discreetly without public knowledge.

The divorce was filed on the basis of an alleged attempt on the actor’s life, which was reportedly orchestrated by his now estranged wife and her brothers, Michael Amobi and Chukwumobi Amobi, in a suit filed at the High Court of Ogun State with suit number HCT/128/2019 filed by Saint Obi.

Also, Lynda is said to have allegedly “imprisoned” the children, the product of the marriage by hiring mobile police officers to prevent Saint Obi from having access to them.

This would be Saint Obi’s second marriage as he had been married before to a clergy’s daughter but the marriage ended in divorce.

Having paid his dues on the movie industry, Saint Obi quit to focus on the production and business aspect of entertainment. He runs  Agwhyte International Limited, a company with branches in both Nigeria and the US whose areas of business covers movie production, talent and brand management, as well as public relations.

He also runs a non for profit organization, Saint Obi Foundation.
