Wealthy businessman and politician, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu who is the husband of former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Mitchel Ihezue, has vowed to unseat Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State in the forth coming gubernatorial elections.

Ukachukwu who has already registered in his ward, Orsumenyi, Nnewi South Local Government Area plans to contest on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC.

Fondly referred to as Ikukuoma, this is not his first political rodeo as he was a former member of the house of representatives in the 9th assembly. He once contested for a position in the senate position in the 2023 general elections, to represent Anambra South Senatorial District under the party ticket of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA but lost out.

Ukachukwu comes across as a man who lacks any clear-cut political ideology. A serial political contender, the more he tries, the more his dream eludes him. Sadly, this has made him a subject of ridicule in some quarters. To realize his age-long aspiration for the Anambra South Senatorial district in the 2019 election, Ukachukwu who is the Owelle Osumeyi left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA when he could no longer endure the frustration he suffered in the hands of some hawks in the party, especially businessman and political godfather, Andy Uba and his cronies.

There was a glimmer of hope when he beat many of his other aspirants in APGA at the primary in 2022 including Bianca Ojukwu widow of the late Biafra warlord, Emeka Ojukwu and Dr Okey Chidolue, a former top shot in the Nigerian Ports Authority, a one-time aide to the late Ojukwu. But his hope of flying the party’s ticket was punctured when he lost to Capital Oil boss, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. Ukachukwu, an industrialist and philanthropist, is the chairman/ CEO of SNECOU Group Limited.
