Sara Fouad Saeed, the daughter of the honorary consul of Djibouti to Malaysia, completed the final leg of her marital rites which began earlier in the month, to her equally wealthy groom, Mohammed Dangote, in a wedding ceremony on Wednesday December 19th. The wedding which took place at Glasshouse at Seputeh in Kuala Lumpur, not only had the trappings of wealth, it had in attendance quite a number of wealthy and influential personalities from both countries.

While Saeed’s father, who is originally from Yemen, is a director at HSA Group, a multi-billion dollar Arab conglomerate, Mohammed Dangote is the nephew of Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote and son to Sani Dangote, the vice president of Dangote Industries, the biggest indigenous industrial conglomerate in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The wedding festivities took place over four days and included guests like Dele Momodu Femi Otedola, Aig Imokhuede, Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, Tunde Folawiyo, Atedo Peterside etc. The bride first held a “henna and music” night at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 17, followed by another party, “A Yemeni Night To Remember”, at the family residence at Jalan Cemerlang Taman Duta on Dec 18 before the actual wedding on the 19th and a wedding dinner for their guests on Friday December 21st.
