These are indeed the best of times for Mina Okoloko who is currently basking in the euphoria of her new found peace of mind. The mother of two who suffered some devastation a few years ago; first separation from her wealthy husband, Jite Okoloko, a former top executive at Oando, now head honcho at Notore Fertilizers and loosing her home to an unexplained inferno, has obviously gotten her groove back judging by her new glow and her gutsy determination not to remain defeated.
Recall that in 2014, news of Mina Okoloko’s separation from her husband hit the streets after it had been kept under wraps for a while. For this singular reason, Mina Okoloko disapperraed from the social scene and concentrated on her businesses, the spa and her champagne bar, Fluid Lounge. Not long after, her Victoria Island home got gutted by a fire that also destroyed everything she had in the building. The ugly incident left Mina speechless and traumatised for weeks as she lost property and jewelries worth millions of naira to the inferno. She was lucky to have found help in a few neighbours who helped to drive her cars away from the compound. The lawyer-turned-beautician sunk deeper into depression and even further into her cocoon.
Well, the good news is that she has picked up the pieces of her life and has returned to her bubbly self. Just last weekend, the Obafemi Awolowo University-trained-lawyer-turned entrepreneur re-launched her spa business. She has extensive work done in the total refurbishment and expansion of the space. Today, the med-spa doesn’t only look bigger and better, the ambiance of the spa as well as the quality of service now offered is still being talked about long after its launch. The new Beauty Concern Spa was declared open by Mina’s long time client and mentor, Senator Daisy Danjuma.
