Actress, Mercy Aigbe is in London for medical checkup. She is there to see her Oral and Maxilloficial Surgeon. She did not indicate the ailment, but her post suggests that it is still about the domestic abuse she suffered in the hands of her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry.
Mercy who posted picture of herself undergoing examination in a UK hospital says: “No woman should go through these much pain, anguish and trauma all in the name of marriage.”
Until she surfaced in London, she was expected at the Ogba Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, where her estranged husband, Lanre is facing trial for assaulting her. While Lanre and his relations came, Mercy Aigbe was absent.
Chief Magistrate Folakemi Davies-Abegunde had fixed Wednesday for Gentry to show cause for why he should not be restrained permanently from coming close to his wife, Mercy Aigbe.
Mercy was expected to tender before the court, through her counsel, Adeola Falade, the medical report of the alleged domestic violence meted on her by her estranged husband. But she was nowhere to be found. The case has now been adjourned till 7 June.
Meanwhile, the estranged husband is showing no sign of remorse for the alleged actions. Earlier today, the hotelier took to his Instagram to say that much.
