Mayowa Nicholas has no doubt been on a roller coaster ride since the beginning of the year what with her numerous endorsements, the latest being snagging a beauty campaign with fashion and beauty house, Marc Jacobs, making her the first Nigerian model to do so as well as walking on various international runways for big fashion houses.
From H&M, to Louis Vuitton to Calvin Klein to Dolce and Gabbana to Dianne Von Furstenberg to Prada etc, Mayowa Nicholas has represented them all. Not also forgetting snagging various editorial spots for several lifestyle magazines of international repute, from Vogue to W to Harpers Bazzar etc.
Now Mayowa Nicholas who is an alumnus of Elite Model Look Nigeria 2014 edition has just been handpicked to walk the prestigious Victoria Secret Fashion (makers of premium women lingerie and beauty products) show later this year. It is a major milestone as only Oluchi Onwuegba-Orlandi has been the only other Nigerian to have been featured on the show since the show’s inception in the early 1990s.
Taking to her social media, the 19 year old wrote, “I can’t believe I am typing this right now. I am so happy to announce that I will be walking the Victoria Secret Fashion show 2017. This is a huge dream come true.”
A former student of Crawford University, Mayowa Nicholas won the Elite Model Look search Nigeria when she was just 16.
