Veteran actor, Ramsey Nouah is resurrecting one of Nollywood classics, ‘Living in Bondage.’ Ramsey Nouah is also said to be directing the sequel of the movie which was released in 1992.
“Myself, Charles Adeleke and Steve Gukas are trying to do a sequel of ‘Living in Bondage’and while I direct it, Steve will produce it. Charles actually came up with the idea to make a sequel of the movie. I asked if he was sure and he was like, “Yeah, people will go and watch it”

Speaking about his challenges on the movie project and his concerns about the target audience seeing that the original movie was made two decades ago.
“At the time the original movie was shot, it was about 20 years ago and I doubt if the generation of those who actually saw the movie then, go to the cinemas. So now the issue is to balance the story. In 2015, we got the license from the original owner, Kenneth Nnebue but now, we have problems with writing the story. To get the demographics of those who originally watched it and that of today, we have had to do over 10 drafts before we finally came to the last one,” he said.

On the original cast, Ramsey Nouah said, “We still have Kenneth Okonkwo, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Kanayo O.Kanayo, all of who are still very much alive. Even Ngozi Nwosu, Francis Agu and Grace Ayozie, some of the stars who featured in the first installment of the movie are still around. And among the newer crop of actors we intend to add are Enyinnaya Nwigwe and myself of course.”
