The Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has congratulated Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe for winning this year’s edition of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show. 26-year-old Laycon took home the grand prize of N30 million naira as well as other prizes which totaled N85 million on Sunday night after polling the highest votes of the five housemates that made the grand finale.
In a post on its Twitter page on Monday, LIRS commended the reality TV star over the achievement. The revenue service, however, urged the graduate of philosophy from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to pay his tax. The agency added that it looks forward to having the singer at the 2021 budget consultative forum — an initiative of the state government to address the dwindling revenue occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
“Congratulations @itsLaycon winner @BBNaija Lockdown edition. More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you #payyourtax,” it wrote on Twitter.
The break down of the grand prize for BBNaija season five includes: “a N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost.”
