On Saturday, 4 March, 2017, the Lagos society stood still, as the families of Sijuwade and Folawiyo played hosts to a galaxy of personalities, who gathered to witness the traditional marriage ceremony of Prince Aderemi Adejare Sijuwade and Olabisi Ashake Folawiyo. While the groom is the only son of Olori Oladunni Olamide Sijuwade (nee Harold-Sodipo), one of the Oloris of the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Adele Sijuwade, Olubuse 11, the bride is the daughter of late Chief Abdulwahab Iyanda Folawiyo, the former Baba Adinni of Nigeria and Mrs Olushola Alaba Folawiyo, a businesswoman.
A very enterprising businessman, Prince Aderemi who shares a striking resemblance with his late father, further proves his undying love for his wife, when he surprised her with a luxury Mercedez Benz car as an early morning gift, the morning of their traditional wedding. Olabisi is one of the most outstanding make-up artists who runs FACES By Labisi, an upscale make-up studio in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi.
Their traditional and engagement ceremony held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island. Their wedding dinner is scheduled to hold later this month.
