Barely a few weeks after the family of Soboma and Justice Rita Ajumogobia celebrated the wedding of their only son in Lagos, their joy has been cut short following the death of their only daughter, Dr Aribemchukwu Ajumogobia, who they fondly referred to as Chuchu.

Soboma is the older brother of Odein, a former Minister of State for Petroleum and later a former Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of GEN Merchants Investors Ltd, while his wife, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, is a judge of the Federal High Court.

Aribim, who was in her early 30s and the first of two children, was murdered in their house in Parkview estate, Lagos State. She was reportedly stabbed to death.

Her body was discovered on Wednesday morning outside the gate to their house.

According to a close family source who revealed this exclusively to THEWILL, their 3 new domestic staff who were employed less than 10 days ago, might have been responsible and tried to stage the scene to make it look like she was outside their home when it happened.

They tried to simulate a lie, suggesting she went out last night in an Uber but found her body outside when the driver resumed work this morning.

However, signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and in the compound tell a different story.

Aribim was said to be alone in the house at the time of the incident with the new domestic staff who have all been detained and are currently being questioned.

Until her death, she was a staff of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

This is the third murder in Parkview estate where the victims were killed by their domestic staff.
