Ituah Ighodalo, the senior pastor of Trinity House Church in Lagos, yesterday organised a candlelight service in the name of Ibidunni, his late wife, who recently died of cardiac arrest on in Port Harcourt at the age of 39.
The service, which held on Wednesday, three days after her death, witnessed both tears and praise-singing. Among those who were present was the husband of the deceased himself, who occasionally took to the stage as instrumentalists performed soulful songs, prayed for him, and consoled the clergyman.
On the same day when Ibidun had died, Ituah had surprised many by officiating at a funeral service of Ayodeji Johnson, son of Biola Okoya, a church member. He also opened up on how the news of his wife’s death had “shattered” his life.
Asue Ighodalo, Ituah’s older brother and founding partner of Banwo & Ighodalo, a foremost corporate commercial law firm in Nigeria, had in a statement said that the deceased will be buried on Saturday.
