Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia celebrates wife as they mark 4th year wedding anniversary

Today marks four years since Innocent 2Baba and Annie Idibia said yes to each other on a beach in Dubai in front of family and friends. Four years after, the couple is still going on stronger than ever. In celebration of their wedding anniversary, Tubaba took to his Instagram in the wee hours of this morning to pen an emotional and romantic note to his lovely wife. He recalled how he first met her 18 years ago and how she chose to marry him despite the drama surrounding their relationship.

“18yrs ago I met this beautiful human being and 4yrs ago she said yes 2 be by my side thru it all. Words cannot express how much she means 2 me. My true African Queen. She lit up my life. We laugh we fight, we clown around sometimes and get serious sometimes. If I have 2 do this things all over again it’ll most definitely be with u my love. Thank u 4 choosing me baby. Thank u 4 having been there 4 me all thru these years. Thank u 4 accepting me the way I am. Thank u 4 being the great mother that u are. Thank you my love. We’re not perfect but we’re perfect 4 each other.”

Annie and Tubaba got married in 2013 in a glamorous Dubai wedding after 12 years of dating on and off. The couple, who are blessed with two children, have been able to keep the flame of their marriage burning despite the drama they encounter from the mothers of his other children as well constant rumours of marriage breakup. The singer once stated in an interview that the reason he chose to marry Annie was because he realised he could no longer deny that she was his woman.

The philanthropist and the most decorated musician in Nigeria also used the opportunity the anniversary provided to release the remix of his breakout song, ‘African Queen’ which Annie featured in. The remix was done for AY Makun’s yet to be released film ‘10 Days in Sun City’, which also features clips from Tubaba and Annie Idibia’s Dubai wedding.
