The quartet of governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, controversial businessman, Ifeanyi Ubah and embattled former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, have all secured brand new tickets into the Senate.

While Amosun who contested on the platform of APC secured the ticket for Ogun central senatorial seat, Rochas Okorocha who contested on the platform of APC secured the ticket for Imo senatorial seat.

Similarly, Ifeanyi Ubah who contested on the platform of YPP floored the Uba brothers, Andy and Chris to secure the Anambra South Senatorial seat. Orji Uzor Kalu on his own part who ran under the APC, defeated Mao Ohabunwa to win Abia North Senatorial seat. However, Ohabunwa is calling for the cancellation of the result alleging rigging.
