Blessing Joseph, the estranged wife of Precious Iginla, the Nigerian pastor, has revealed that he allegedly started abusing her barely a week into their marriage.

Blessing and the cleric, who is a senior pastor at the Prophetic Fire Embassy International Church in Rivers State tied the knot in 2014.

The pair who have two children, a boy and a girl, before their marriage h!t the rocks over allegations of domestic vioence.

In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo said trouble started after her husband forced her to sit among the congregation during a service for an undisclosed reason.

“The abuse started one week into the wedding when the older brother, Pastor Joshua Iginla asked me to sit down in the congregation, from then that abuse started. From that day, he started physically attacking me.

“At every slight provocation he would slap me, at every slight provocation he would strangle me.

“At every slight provocation. My neighbors in Gwagwalada can attest to this if they are watching. My neighbors in Port Harcourt Mrs Tinu can attest to it, they’ve seen me, they’ve come to beg him.

“My neighbor in South Africa can attest to it she has come to beg him time and time without number to let me into the house.

“Most times after he attacks me, I run out or atimes, he pushes me out of the house, I go out and stay for sometime until neighbors will come and beg so it’s been like that.

“The physical abuse started one week into the wedding but I stayed because neighbors and church members kept convincing me. I got married at 25. I didn’t know much about life like I do now,” she added.

Blessing, who is currently seeking divorce from the clergy, also accused her husband of denying her access to their children for almost a year. She claimed the older Iginla initially opposed her marriage to his brother because he saw her as a sign of bad luck.

In August 2020, Blessing withdrew her domestic violence allegations in a video and claimed Pastor Precious had apologized and promised to make their marriage work.
