From all indications, it doesn’t look like the ongoing feud between singers and former label mates, Harrysong and Kcee will abate any time soon as Harrysong has taken the feud to a whole new level. The CEO of AltarPlate music has decided to take the battle to the public arena where he said amongst other things that he is responsible for saving Kcee’s career.
He made this known to a large audience at the recent Warri Mega Fiesta. The ‘Arabanko’ singer unleashed expletives on his former label mate, alleging that he saved Kcee’s career when the latter split up with former team mate, Presh of the defunct Kcee and Presh.
“Kcee tell me say I nor suppose to record o. I remind am say ‘you forget, when KC and Presh broke, you just dey forget o, this lonely Warri boy o na him you meet to help you o‘,” he sang on stage.
Continuing, he sang: “I fit no get mama. I fit no get papa. I fit no get brother. But I get talent o. A wicked talent o! You can take everything from me, you can never take my place. Favour is my name.”
This latest twist is coming weeks after Kcee dragged Harrysong and Soso Soberekon, a former artist manager to Five Star Music label, to court accusing Harrysong in particular of infringing on his fundamental human rights. Their feud began late last year when the ‘Samankwe’ crooner dumped Five Star Music label in what was considered a breach of contract to launch his own company. It ended up being a police case with Harrysong spending time behind bars.
There had been some sort of resolution which prompted Harrysong to return to the label early this year and later disengaging with the blessings of both Kcee and E-Money, the label’s chairman. But months after his departure, the feud was resurrected with Kcee alleging threat to life.
