Since its debut just last month, ‘What Happened’, a book by Hilary Clinton has scored higher sales, 300,000, than any nonfiction hardcover since 2012, only coming in second place to her husband, Bill Clinton’s memoir, ‘Living History’ which sold 438,000 hardcover copies in its first week partly because of his sex scandal with former White House staff, Monica Lewinsky. ‘What Happened’, is a vivid account of Hillary Clinton’s experiences as the Democratic Party’s nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election and an explanation as to why she didn’t make the top position.

The book is part personal memoir, part political science treatise, part self-defense of a failed campaign and part strategy session for Democratic politicians to come. While some say it is a scathing take-down of President Trump, Bernie Sanders and the modern news media, others argue that it is an informal an apology to modern women, a conversation about self-doubt and regret and a list of her to-do items were she president. It is a must read.
