As earlier speculated a few months ago, all may actually not be well between Nollywood actors, Gbenro Ajibade and his wife, Osas Ighodaro-Ajibade. The actor took to his social media to call out his wife of three years over the persistent neglect of their two years old daughter, preferring instead to hang out and party all night with friends.
Recall that last year, there was every indication that their young marriage was in crisis. Many were shocked to notice that Gbenro Ajibade did not acknowledge his wife’s birthday on October 26. Further checks revealed that Gbenro who has since relocated to the United States had unfollowed his wife on Instagram and deleted all her photos. Osas celebrated her birthday alone and tried so hard to hide put up any post or pictures that might trigger off questions about her man and marriage.
Shortly after their wedding, many had accused Gbenro Ajibade of marrying Osas because of her US citizenship, something he denied vehemently, saying he married for love and not green card. He had said in 2017, “Right now, I have a bone to crack with her family (Osas’) because they think I am intentionally refusing to do my green card. I have not done it even now. It is funny how people think. I and Osas had been legally married in a court in the US two years even before the public knew we were going out. If I had wanted green card, I would have done it since but I felt it would be a distraction. I didn’t marry her because of that.”
Then in December, their fans were excited to discover that they may have indeed patched up things when pictures of the couple and their daughter spending time in the US surfaced. Obviously it was a face saving mechanism put together by their respective families and friends as can be deduced from Gbenro’s posts.
