Following the outrage that greeted the birthday actress, Funke Akindele-Bello threw for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello who turned 43 on April 4, at her Amen Estate home with several calls asking that she be arrested, Funke Akindele has tendered an apology

Nigerians had lashed out at the actress and her husband after they were seen to have hosted a party with quite a number of guests in attendance such as Naira Marley, Eniola Badmus, Akpororo etc.

Funke Akindele in a video, disclosed that most people who attended the birthday party, are some of her staff and crew who were stuck in their studio at Amen Estate after Lagos borders were closed, in compliance with President Buhari’s lockdown order on March 29.

She maintained that she will never intentionally mislead anyone, as she revealed that Naira Marley who is also part of their new production was affected by the lockdown order, hence why he turned up for the birthday.

Funke Akindele who disclosed that she is sorry for putting out the birthday videos online even though they decided to come together as a family to celebrate her husband, while adding that she supports the Lagos State Government’s proactive measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus. She further promised to practice what she preaches.
