Reacting to the viral speculation that a former cast mate, Juliana Olayode and the producer of the TV series, Jenifa’s Diary, Funke Akindele-Bello, have parted ways over an undisclosed issue, Funke has debunked such talks and says that the only consistent actor in ‘Jenifa’s diary’ is the lead character. According to her, ‘Jenifas diary’ will always have new actors just like any other series as a couple of actors have been in and out of the series since inception.
Recall that an online platform had first reported about a supposed rift between the duo, saying that Juliana, popularly known as ‘Toyo Baby’ in television comic series, has been cut off from production which was all the more noticeable as Juliana was absent at events/parties that held in Funke’s home in Lagos unlike her other former co-stars. The news medium also added that they no longer follow each other on Instagram.
In the same vein, the lady in question, Juliana Olayode has equally responded to the viral speculations with an instagram post.
“Hey Fam! I apologize for responding late to the LIB post. Please DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING you read on tabloids. Several people have criticised me and some insulted me on something they know NOTHING about. I didn’t and would never un-follow Aunty Funke. Please read all my interviews, I hold her in high esteem and she’s dear to my heart.
“My career profile is not complete without her. Characters come and go in series. Even if you’re not seeing Toyo Baby presently, SOP never said she’s not coming back. I hold nothing against those who have spread lies about me. God bless you. Juliana loves you all!”
