At last, model and socialite, Karrueche Tran has been granted a five year restraining order against ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown. The actress testified that Brown had threatened her after they broke up over some diamond rings and other gifts he had given her and wanted back. Brown was not present at the hearing and, according to E news, the judge did not allow him to call in.
Two voicemails Brown left for Tran were played during the hearing, in which he reportedly cursed at her and made threats. Threatening text messages were also examined, wherein Brown explicitly threatened violence saying he would beat the shit out of her, as well as other threats.
Tran said that Brown had hit her in the past and was sure he would hurt her again. She also told the judge she did not have the rings anymore because she had sold them in hopes Brown would leave her alone.
In February, Tran was granted a temporary restraining order against Brown because the singer had threatened to kill her, threatened her via text messages and threatened to harass her friends, according to court documents.
He also allegedly threatened to shoot her, saying if no one else can have her, then he’s gonna ‘take me out.'” Brown posted and then deleted comments on social media at that time of the filing, telling his followers not to listen to “all the bulls–t.”
“Make sure ya’ll don’t be listening to all this bulls–t, man,” he reportedly wrote. “What all them other people on the outside doing, let them do what they doing. I don’t know what the f–k they talking about.”
