For self acclaimed Gucci ambassador, Raymond Igbalodely, more popularly referred to as Ray Hushpuppi, the fear of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is the beginning of wisdom. Famous on Instagram for flaunting wealth, luxury items, cars and mansions, Ray Hushpuppi, who boasts over 1.9 million followers on Instagram, has been silently ‘operating’ on Instagram since Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha’s arrest in Abuja penultimate week. He has also changed his IG profile from being “The Billionaire Gucci Master” to “Real Estate Developer!

Despite his feud with Mompha, Hushpuppi made a post on his Instagram page denouncing thse who rejoice at other’s downfall. While he didn’t mention any name, it was obvious he was sending a solidarity message to Mompha who is still in EFCC’s custody.

Hushpuppi whose other known nicknames are Aja Puppi and Aja 4, is of Nigerian origin, however, he became wealthy and successful after he moved to Malaysia. This man has gained the title of a Nigerian dark horse – no one knows exactly how he really made his money. The only thing everyone knows is that a new page in his life opened when he decided to relocate to Malaysia. Nowadays, he is one of the most popular people in Nigerian diaspora.

Currently based in Dubai, Hushpuppi once revealed some weeks ago that he was a professional beggar. He also claimed to be an automobile merchant. His pride is in being one of the few personalities who are obsessed with the luxury brand, Gucci. Even his dog wears Gucci!

However, with the undaunting move of the EFCC to hack down Internet fraudsters, the self-acclaimed Gucci billionaire seems to be afraid of the agency swooping on him and he promptly changed information on his Instagram profile.
Recall in 2017, the ‘Gucci Billionaire’ had a spat with his former bestfriend, Mompha, who disclosed how Hushpuppi, who once lived in Ebute-Meta, Lagos migrated to Dubai.
