The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has married a former World Miss University Africa, Tobi Phillips, as his third wife.
The engagement proposal
Th wedding happened on Sunday Ocyober 9.
It comes comes weeks after he got married to his second wife, Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda in a quiet ceremony and his first wife, Olori Mariam Anako.
Tobi, a graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos, will be taken to the Ooni’s palace and formally welcomed into his home as an Olori, later in the week.
Ironically, Tobi who once berated single ladies for dating married men allegedly began dating the Ooni in 2017 just before he got separated from his then wife and Olori, Wuraola Zainab, who he has since divorced.
At that time, there was immense pressure on the Ooni to take another wife and sire his heirs and Tobi was being considered as the ex Olori’s replacement.
