Last month, former beauty queen, May Ikeora tied the knot with her lover, Barrister Donald Chidi Amamgbo. First was the traditional wedding which had all the trappings of luxury on display.

This was quickly followed by a white wedding which took place at Saint Christopher Anglican church, Ihiala, Anambra State.

The highlight of the wedding was the conferment on the couple as Knight and Lady. Thus they will henceforth be addressed as Sir Donald and Lady May Amamgb0.

It is May’s first attempt at marriage. She was the first runner up at the 2003 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria contest. She represented Nigeria at Miss ECOWAS and emerged the winner in 2003/2004. She worked with ECOWAS and Kofi Annan’s peace keeping institute. She also bagged a doctorate degree in law from the University of Hull, United Kingdom following which she returned to Nigeria to launch her anti-bleaching campaign with her range of L’avyanna products made from natural ingredients, a tool to champion her campaign against bleaching.

The marriage to May is Donald’s second attempt at marriage which ended years ago. The marriage produced two children who are both university graduates. Donald apart from being a lawyer, is a senatorial aspirant who is looking to replace late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who represented Anambra South senatorial district in the national assembly.
