Former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain and widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former Biafran warlord, Chief Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has advised those clamoring for the boycott of the Anambra governorship election  to desist henceforth or have themselves to blame. She asked them to begin such calls in their home states.

The Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, said security reports available to him indicated that the architects of the threats were from outside the state.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Akpokuodike Fan Club, in Awka, Bianca Ojukwu decried the near absence of Federal Government presence in the state in terms of infrastructure, insisting that APGA remained the voice of Ndigbo and should be supported. She described the job of members of the club as important, saying that APGA and its leadership remained a replica and model of late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu’s dream of a region where excellence prevailed.

She further underscored the need for the dream of the party to be upheld for posterity, arguing that Obiano should be returned for a second term to sustain the dividends of good governance in the state.

Earlier, the President of Akpokuodike Fan Club, Barrister Chika Ekwunugo, noted that their base covered the 177 communities in the state with a target of 500 ambassadors in each town before the end of September. He said their drive was engineered by the governor’s approach to governance, which had translated to positive revolution in the state.
