The five-year-old marriage of singer, Dr Sid and his wife, Simi Esiri has finally hit the rocks. Recall that there were rumour of the union ending about two years ago, shortly before their second daughter was born but they attempted to mask it by making public appearances together. Then at a point, Simi stopped wearing her wedding ring all together and they both unfollowed each other on social media.
Then in August of same year, she deleted the wedding anniversary post she made on Instagram along with all her wedding photos. Things degenerated so bad that Simi had to move out of their home a couple of times. Dr Sid made efforts at wooing his wife back but Simi already had her mind made up
In a recent post she made on her Instagram page, Simi Esiri admitted that their marriage has been over for a while now and that they were heading for a divorce. According to her, their main priority now will be focused on working together as co-parents. She also used the opportunity to address claims that she was violent to her husband while the marriage lasted.
Th couple who got engaged in 2013 tied the knot in 2014 at the Ikoyi Baptist Church.
