Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki, has passed away.
Seriki died in Madrid, Spain, at the age of 63.
His death was announced in a statement signed by his children on Thursday, December 15.
The statement said that the former minister of state for defence died in Madrid in the early hours of Thursday.
The statement reads, ”It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much loved and admired patriach, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, His excellency, Ambassador Rasaq Atanda Seriki (CON), on December 15, 2022.
”He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain.”
Recall that Seriki purchased the N20 million senatorial form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the Lagos-central senatorial seat for the 2023 general election.
The Lagos central senatorial district comprises of five local governments including Surulere, Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Apapa, and Lagos mainland.
