On Saturday April 2, the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his wife, Dame Edith Okowa hosted friends and political associates at the traditional wedding ceremony of one of their daughters, Maxine Ewere to her lover, Benue born Dr Daniel Igo, at their family home in Owa-Alero, Ika North East local government area.
The colourful event had quite a number of strong men of Niger Delta politics, as well as the creme of Delta society in attendance.
In attendance were the likes of former Governors Chief James Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and his wife, Roli, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Chief Ndudi Elumelu and Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, Olorogun David Edevbie, amongst others.
Many are now looking forward to the main wedding ceremony comimg up in a few weeks time.
