Singer, David Adeleke, more popularly known as Davido will be joining fashion designers, Mai Atafo, Ugo Mozie and Sony Music’s Michael Ugwu as speakers at Harvard’s Africa Business Conference scheduled to hold between February 15 to 19 in Boston Massachusetts.

Davido and Ugwu, alongside UK entertainer Juls and Abdul Karim Abdullah, will be on the same panel to speak about the growth of music business in Africa at the conference which has as theme, ‘Africa Forward: Forging New Alliances for the Future’, the 2019 conference. They will discuss the international interest in the continent’s creative sector, the economic attractiveness of African music business, distribution strategies of record labels, income generation sources and the role of regulators, distributors and consumers in the industry.

Mai Atafo and Ugo Mozie are penciled down for a session on the global adoption of African fashion. The fashion designers will speak on how African fashion is taking off on a global scale and the roles African entrepreneurs play as the industry moves forward. Diarra Gueye, CEO Diarrablu and Dakar Boutique, will join them on the panel.

The keynote speakers for the conference are Vincent Le Guennou, Momar Nguer and Agnes Binagwaho. Apart from being a panelist, Davido is also expected to perform for participants at the after party of the business conference.
