After many months of being in oblivion, rapper and dance hall artiste, Cynthia Morgan, has made a return to the music scene. To further prove that she is back for good and hopes to take her craft to levels she still aspires to, she adopted the stage name, Madrina. Besides her new stage name, the singer has also deleted all the old pictures on her Instagram page and appears to have called it quits with Jude Okoye’s record label, Northside Entertainment and is now under a new management
At her peak, Cynthia Morgan was an inner caucus member of the PSquare family and tried in her own ways to make them mend fences. That didn’t happen. As the twin brothers went their separate ways, so did Cynthia also leave the family and went into musical oblivion
A recent tweet by actress Adesua Etomi, asking for Cynthia Morgan’s whereabouts reopened the conversation about her on social media. Weeks after the tweet, the singer was said to be facing some financial difficulties. She was said to have received court papers for failing to pay her house rent and also for tax evasion. She was said to reportedly owe N1.3 million in rent and N3.584 million in taxes.
Now that she is back, not only did she launch her own record label, The Cynthia Morgan Company (TCMC), she also has a new single titled ‘Billion Dollar Woman’, her first release on TCMC.
